Associated Disorders

 

Some people with Tourette Syndrome have other disorders at the same time.

 

These are known as associated disorders or co-occurrences and are sometimes referred to as co-morbid conditions.

 

The most common conditions that occur with TS are Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

 

Conditions that are known to occur with TS include:

 

    Anxiety Disorders,

        Depression,

        Generalized Anxiety Disorder,

        Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD),

        Panic Disorder,

        Post-traumatic Stress Disorder,

        Social Anxiety Disorder (social phobia),

    Bed wetting,

    Difficulties with impulse control,

    Learning disabilities (LD),

    Mood Disorders,

    Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD),

        Autism,

        Aspergerís Syndrome,

        Childhood Disintegrative Disorder,

        Rettís Syndrome.

    Rage and aggression,
