Panic Disorder (PD) is a type of Anxiety Disorder.
People with (PD) experience repeated attacks that generally seem to come out of nowhere.
Panic attacks have no warning.
Symptoms may include:
An intense surge of fear,
Shortness of breath or a sense of being smothered,
Choking sensations, and
Chest pain or discomfort.
People who experience PD may be constantly fearful of the next attack. They may make drastic behaviour changes and avoid situations they fear may contribute to another attack.
